John Blair – Director
John's parents moved to the South of England from his native Scotland when John was aged nine and he quickly learned you don't "pick-it-up-and-run" with the round-shaped football. In addition to many other sports John's formal education progressed to A-Level standard at Grammar School. From there he took his first step into Financial Services a career that has now spanned some 28 years. He worked mainly in the UK until 2001 when a career move took him into the offshore market as a Business Development Manager in the Channel Islands for a major UK provider. After a successful time there he moved to join a specialist provider of offshore investment funds. After a successful and enjoyable period of 5 years John helped to set up Vantage International Limited which distributes a range of innovative offshore funds to Intermediaries in a wide range of territories.
John now lives in the South of England with his wife and family where he continues to enjoy his lifetime involvement with sport - now mainly watching it - and the delightful local countryside.

James Machon – Director
James was born and educated in Guernsey where he still lives today. He spent the first 5 years of his working life in the retail sector before moving into finance to start a career which has lasted 18 years. James has gained experience within the banking, insurance, corporate banking and fund distribution sectors. After 6 years at TSB Bank he spent a short time working at Prudential before joining Royal Bank of Scotland International. During his 5 years at RBSI he worked as an international IFA before moving to corporate banking where he specialised in leveraged investments & TEPS. James then worked for Marsh Financial Services in the Channel Islands where he provided financial advice to a portfolio of high net worth clients for a major high street bank. In December 2005 James began distributing offshore funds throughout the Channel Islands and Mauritius, this is a role which he continues to enjoy today under the banner of Vantage International Limited.
